Halloween...the time change is this weekend...where does the time go? I get a kick out of reading the snippets from the soon-to-be-published biography of Steve Jobs...the guy is lauded as a visionary and a genius, but comes across to me as a first class asshole.  He seemed to revel in his position of power and his ability to bring someone to tears.  What a bully and a buttwipe.  If he wasn't running a successful company, he would be sued for creating a hostile workplace.  We've all worked with that type, and I surmise if we were lucky enough to work with them when they died, you'd feel pretty good about their misfortune and hope that their death was slow and painful.  right??? or is it just me... at any rate, a slow news day.  I will have to surf for some good stories, as I am pretty sure there are lots out there...after all, nothing got better over the weekend, did it?

Sunday, Oct. 30

A quick trip to Florida.  I am always amazed at the lack of any normal consideration by some travelers.  standing on the walking sidewalk...wandering through the terminal then just stopping right in front of you when you are hustling to get to your gate...then on the plane, standing in an aisle, not aware that their ass is right in your face.  I could go on, but I would imagine you have your own examples of this annoying type of person.  anyway, I need to get revved up again and find some of those infuriating stories I love so much...I'll have to do that tomorrow...when my diet will start...again....

let the ass rapin continue....let's see - we have had the 66% income tax increase, toll increase, taxes on every good and service increase, water bill, parking, and now our pantload politicians have paved the way for an electric rate increase.  http://www.suntimes.com/8429910-417/house-passes-companion-bill-paving-way-for-comed-rate-hike.html why is it our responsibility to pay for their capital improvements?  I remember working with a utility client years ago, when a dollar was still worth 50 cents (not like the current 25 cents) and seeing all these people younger than I making way more that I did.  I was told that the utility, by law, takes its expenses, marks them up and uses that to calculate the kilowatt cost to consumers...so, the higher the expenses, the better the profit for them.  Now, we are supposed to accept that the power outages of this summer will go away if we let them gouge us just a bit more....what an effin joke. oh..and no action taken o...

Wednesday, Oct. 26...second post.

I had to add a second posting today, because this is the type of story that should be met with outrage. http://www.chicagobusiness.com/article/20111026/NEWS11/111029830/tenaska-ties-30m-for-minority-students-to-springfield-votes-for-power-plant to tie the approval for a power plant to the set aside of $30 mil for non-white students is discrimination at its worst.  but where is the outrage?  where is the set aside for whites?  if there was a $30 mil set aside for non-minority students, there would be hearings, the reverands would be there, and the end result would be $60 million set aside for minorities because of their hurt feelings.  and who pays for this $30 million for non-white college scholarships?  why, the people that pay their electric bills, of course.  US. the Ghost Moose just picked up another tick....show him somewhere to lay down and die, please.

Here's a newsflash...the government buying copies of Obama's books...because no one with a brain would buy them.  As I have written before - have you ever seen one of his books?  do you know anyone that has read one of his best sellers?  Our messiah has written books, and we should revel in his geniusness... http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/oct/25/state-department-buys-70000-worth-obama-memoir/ the government buying his books is like if your daughter was a girl scout, and you give all your friends and relatives boxes of girl scout cookies for Christmas. Nobody really wants them, but we are all too polite to do anything other than smile and jam the cookies down our pie holes.  (I love the term "pie hole"). Did you see our failure in chief on Leno last night?  I saw a clip of the fawning, no-talent leno setting up obama for stupid punch lines...and the applause signs must have been lit up, because the audience reaction was a bit much for such...

Cook County, a taxing body that exists for no known reason, wants to increase taxes on tobacco, liquor, luxury items...AND TO CHARGE FOR PARKING FOR THE PLEASURE OF SERVING ON JURY DUTY. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/ct-met-cook-county-budget-1024-20111025,0,4210305.story Chicago wants to impose a $1 per ride surcharge on cab rides....I love the point about Chicago having the second lowest big city cab fares....as if that is something that needs to be fixed asap. http://www.suntimes.com/8394057-417/fare-warning-chicago-taxicab-overhaul-could-be-on-the-way.html Presidential Candidate, Rick Perry, is proposing a 20% flat federal tax on us http://nationaljournal.com/2012-presidential-campaign/texas-governor-argues-for-replacing-current-tax-code-with-flat-20-percent-rate-20111024 One day...countless proposed tax increases.  where does it all end?  the ass raping continues.  and how are we coming on reducing those ridiculous pensions???  not so go...

Monday, October 24

well, that weekend went by fast.  too fast.  just like the month of October is flying by.  Here is yet another link to a story of pension crime. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/sns-ap-il--teacherpensions,0,3023109.story 2 union lobbyists who were not teachers got a substitute teaching certification in order to qualify for a teachers pension.  and yet this kind of crime goes on unabated.  the pension hogs stand behind the "constitution does not allow for pensions to be changed" argument....and it is obvious that arcane law is the reason the pension system creates parasites like these two mopes.  Illinois...what a shithole.

Friday, Oct. 21

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain'...

Crap weather - I hope golf season is not over yet.  Random thoughts - appropos of nothing: - there is now commercial now running on tv where the lady holding a baby answers her door and the gangster sounding guy tells her she owes a lot of dough, but the guy says he is talking to the kid.  A good, creative way to say how absurd the pension mess in Illinois is.  But, where was the commercial when the system was 25 billion in the hole, 50 billion in the hole, 75 billion in the hole???  If I wrote the commercial it would go something like this: (knock on door) Lady opens it.  Gov Fudd is standing there Fudd: "I'm an ignorant douchebag.  May I ass rape you to the tune of $100 billion, because I am clueless about what to do" I guess that is why they have creative design agencies write commercials.  although mine is more impactful. - I see that President Obama does not approve of his kids watching the Kardashian reality show.  Wow...a c...

Wednesday, Oct. 19

Chilly, rainy, gray...mid fall weather. In my many trips to Canada, I have seen moose up close in the wild a few times. Moose are very majestic, graceful creatures.  the emperor of the north, so to speak. When moose walk through the tall marsh grass, they can pick up ticks.  The ticks start about the size of a grain of sand, and attach themselves to the moose, gorging on the blood of the moose.  the moose can have hundreds of these parasites feeding off of it, the the ticks grow in size from a grain of sand to the size of a large grape.  Over the course of the season, the ticks feed off the moose, causing its fur to fall out, and leaving the moose unprotected from the elements.  By winter, the moose succumbs to the ticks, lays down and dies.  the process of a moose becoming infected by ticks and dying a slow death is called Ghost Moose. Our country is a Ghost Moose.  We have so many parasites attached to us, that we are at the point of no re...

Interesting article attached....America must manage its decline....since America has been in a steady decline for a few decades now, it is probably a bit late to discuss managing our decline, as our decline has now become a free fall.  so it is a tad late to manage our descent to the bottom of the toilet - it is now inevitable. http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/0c73f10e-f8aa-11e0-ad8f-00144feab49a.html#axzz1b8VXjkcc a few principles apply here, and are appropriate to any discussion about the decline of the once great country that was America: - if you provide welfare to 50 million people, you should expect 75 million to demand welfare. - if you open the borders and allow all the scumbags in that other countries don't want,  expect the country to trend toward that scumbag direction, instead of some ridiculous concept about cultural enrichment.  Ask Arizona about that. - if you provide excess pensions to a widening group of entitled class, expect that entitled class to ...

October is half over...time does fly. no link today... I saw a few yesterday that bear my ranting, but not in a mood to go back and find them.  the usual b.s. - pension mess, budget mess, over taxation.  I sound like every middle age person who has come to the realization that life is what it is.  the rich stay rich and conspire to prevent any of us from getting rich.  eff them. well, that is today's thought.  at least I have a job which allows me to pay taxes which allows society's parasites to continue to feed at the public trough.

Sunday, Oct 16

Beautiful day today, but getting dark earlier every day.  As the standard bearer for poorly run states, check out this story on how big a deadbeat Illinois is: http://www.suntimes.com/8212559-417/deadbeat-illinois-owes-billions.html Illinois owes billions to its vendors, and has a policy of not paying for months....I don't know about you but I pay my state tax on time, I pay my property tax on time, I pay my sales tax on time....and each have been substantially increased of late.  but Illinois, while taking in more money via taxes, cannot pay its bills.  Is Illinois late on paying the ridiculously high pensions to the hogs?  has Fudd said one word about getting this comical problem under control?  well, people that start now and will be retiring in 30 years might not get as much.  what a joke.  $100 billion in the hole on pensions alone.  but the state pays pensions at the expense of running its operations. Illinois...what a shithole.

Friday, Oct. 14

Hey..Patrick Buchanan stole my idea....check out the link to a book about to be published.  http://www.drudgereport.com/flashpb.htm I am sure he writes much more elequently than I do, but his observations are pretty similar to mine...the things that made this country great are what will destroy it.  The rampant political correctness and need to support every parasite that lands on our shores will ulitmately morph the country into something other than the country that enabled this social change to begin with.  I liken it to my question yesterday - have things improved in the last 10 or 20 years?  Maybe for the illegals, for the anchor babies, for the countries getting aid from us, for the pensioneers getting fat on our taxes, for the factions of the population who want every rule changed to suit their individual situation....The Norman Rockwell America is dead.....Welcome to the Normando Rockwell/Abdul Aziz Rockwella America.  we sure effed up.  Kin...

Thusday, October 13

Granted Chicago has a huge budget problem, but the increases in fees and services yesterday can only hasten the migration out of the city, and out of the state.  it is becoming too expensive to visit Chicago for a social outing, and far too expensive to make that suckhole of a city your home.  I think it is now over 20 bucks for the first 20 minutes to park in a loop lot.  is that not nervy?  I grew up in Chicago and lived there until I was 16 - times have changed, but I guess they have changed everywhere.  and can you honestly say that anything has changed for the better...in the city, state or country?  You'd be hard pressed to see any improvement over the last decade or so.  or is it just me.... these new ripoffs of the citizens are only the start.  with no action on the pension hole, and a dwindling tax base I wonder what is next. I still say the tax tax is on the horizon. each day a bit closer to the bottom of the toilet...

Not to beat a dead horse, but here is yet another infuriating story of pension excess.   a long article, but worth reading....if this subject bothers you as much as it does me. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/ct-met-pensions-double-dip-20111012,0,457656.story for all the rhetoric and the large number of stories written, we have yet to hear one word about pension reform from anyone that is responsible for pension reform.  Not a single politician who is in a position to change these illegal activities has said they will change these illegal activities.  Here is a story from today's Times about a trial of a person involved in pension fraud... http://www.suntimes.com/8163594-417/witness-william-cellini-asked-for-a-bigger-slice-of-pension-fund-contract.html worth a read, but look at this one paragraph: Cellini is on trial for conspiring with Levine as well as with Tony Rezko and Chris Kelly —two top fund-raisers to former Gov. Rod Blagojevich — to sh...

Tuesday, Oct 11

That Bears game sure sucked.  At best they will be 8-8....oh well....Two good themes today... Former unconvicted criminal Mayor Daley continues to not get it.  After the news of the strongarm tactics that he put to companies to donate to his wifes charity hit, he sings this sad tune...and oh, by the way, she was pulling in 100 grand to head the charity.  Read the comments after the story...pretty good. http://www.suntimes.com/8139777-417/daley-calls-city-audit-on-donations-to-charity-insult-to-my-wife.html The Fast and Furious debacle engineered by our brilliant US Attorney General is a real crime. We gave guns to drug lords, the guns were used to kill US agents, and WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?  Of course, this is the brainchild of a guy saw no reason to press charges against the black panthers standing in front of polling places holding baseball bats during the 2008 election. (see second link below). http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/oct/10/issa-letter-ques...

Monday, October 10

Monday already.  and October 10 already...I drove to Spring Grove yesterday - about 30 miles from home.  In a 15 mile stretch, there were 5 separate construction projects.  You'd go from 45 mph, to a dead stop, and inch along for about 15 minutes where you would come to a sign that said "Construction ahead Expect Delays".  five projects.  would the geniuses that plan these things no think that 5 projects were too many?  could they not do maybe two at a time?  And of course, between the 4th and 5th constuction delay there was the obligatory car vs. motorcycle crash that took a half hr to get by.  speaking of roads, the great state of Wisconsin is proposing a bit of ass raping of their own.  tollroads.  because apparently Illinois roads are plowed better in the winter.  http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/ct-met-wisconsin-tollway-20111009,0,2249023.story next stop, tollroads in every state.  one universal Ipass for all...

Sunday, October 9

I should have run the marathon this moring.  but since my run limit would be about a half mile, that would not have been too good an idea.  plus the heat, and the chance that the police would shut down the marathon the way they shut down the beaches on Memorial day - well, that alone was reason not to train for such an endeavor. here is a load of fawning crap from the sun times about Daley's grandson running for public office. http://www.suntimes.com/8037148-417/grandson-of-richard-j-daley-ready-to-keep-the-dynasty-going.html Has recent history not proven that less Daleys are better than more?  Everything from his wife's crooked charities to his pension scamming and his nephew getting away with murder...enough is enough.  but now some new hog wants to butt his way to the front of the feed trough....let him in.  he needs a pension, after all. oh - and did you all receive your property tax bills?  those penions don't pay for themselves, sheeple, and t...

Saturday. Oct.8

Still having unseasonably warm weather...but, the Chicago Marathon is tomorrow, and it is supposed to be at least 80 degrees....if memory serves, the Chicago police closed the beaches on Memorial day because it was 80 some degrees and people were having heat related health problems...and were near a large body of very cold water....so - becasuse there will be 40,000 lunatics running 26.2 miles in 80 degree heat tomorrow, I would hope the Chicago police will step in and stop the marathon before it starts.  After all, they are just interested in no one having heat related health problems, right?  and running 26.2 miles in the heat is bound to bring some health issues to some of the 40000 runners......better to stop that mess before it starts. wait a minute...maybe the beaches were closed on memorial day for some other reason....nah..that would mean we were lied to. hmm.

Friday, Oct. 7

Another week down.  Trees are losing leaves now.  Finding the golf ball in all that gets to be a pain. here is a video link that talks about the upcoming bank meltdown..good stuff....as you read about the state of the financial word, you have to wonder how the tenuous state of things was not addressed sooner. http://www.prisonplanet.com/imf-advisor-global-financial-meltdown-in-2-to-3-weeks.html or, did the bankers have a strategy to let things go south, then go to the government with the "too big to fail" line of bs.  and then reward themselves with bonuses that come from us.  and these geniuses then raise the rates for every service provided by banks - because "they have a right to make a profit".  sure - the government has given them the right to ass rape us all to.  eff these douchebags. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1011/65297.html There are a number of programs on the Discovery channel that focus on how the world will end, whether it be...

Thursday, Oct. 6

CNN had a story yesterday about yet another gaffe by presidential hopeful, Michelle Bachman....apparently, the liberal media keeps score on her mistakes.  here is the story: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/ But, of course you remember the mainstream press coverage given to the mis-statements by our jug eared genius, don't you?  oh wait - the press must not have had time to play these up, and letterman was probably showing a clip of an iraqi throwing a shoe at Bush..talk about a double standard.   57 states, signing the Queen's guest book with the year 2008 (instead of 2011), intercontinental railroad...the hits go on..but mention any of them and you are a racist tea partier.  do a search on Obama's mis-statements and you will find results - just none from his fawning media. http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/barackobama/a/obama-isms.htm the emperor is wearing no clothes, folks.  We've been had. and, of course, here is a story about the first fre...

Wednesday, Oct 5

there was a story on the news last night celebrating the fact that the ford plant on the south side was adding a 3rd shift and would be hiring 1100 addl workers.  Both Emanuel and Gov. Fudd Quinn (separately) were interviewed, and both took credit for this great job creation.  However, let's not forget that Illinois is among the leaders of the 50 states in jobs lost.  Where are these 2 pantloads when news like this hits the media???  1100 jobs???  how does that compare to ENTIRE COMPANIES LOST?? http://blog.heartland.org/2011/08/huge-tax-increase-huge-jobs-losses-in-illinois/ I also saw Mayor Rahm talking about city employess who are not paying their tickets and penalties - saying they cannot ride on the backs of taxpayers...just what does he say to the pension parasites who are pulling in undeserved, bloated payments each month?  are they not riding on the backs of us all? http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/mayor-emanuel-crackdown-city-employ...

Tuesday, October 4

Hey wait a minute, what happened to September??? I saw an interview yesterday with our failure in chief where he referred to himself as an underdog in the 2012 presidential election.  the definition of an underdog is:  a person or group in a competition , frequently in electoral politics , sports and creative works , who is popularly expected to lose. The party, team or individual expected to win is called the favo(u)rite or top dog . In the rare case where an underdog wins, the outcome is an upset . These terms are commonly used in sports betting . [ original research? ] The use of the term is believed to have come from the job of plank making where the lower saw-pit worker was called the underdog as they were underneath the metal brackets (dogs) which held the log in place. Let's count the ways that Obama has overcome his underdog status, as he is used to being the underdog: (knowing full well you read all this stuff before) - after being born somewhere, he was en...

What is the opposite of TGIF?  Because that is what today is. Beautiful weekend - football game on Saturday, golf yesterday.  Quite nice to be outside.  There was a story last week that the head of HP was being axed after 10 months ont he job - and walking away with a $13 million going away gift...at those prices, how would a guy not purposely be a miserable failure if he knew he would be set for life after only 10 months of wetting the bed. Now - where is this dough coming from?  That would be the dividends the stockholders will not get since this pantload is leaving with $13 million, after demonstrating his inability to do an acceptable job - his performance led to a loss in market value of over $40 billion..and he still received $2 mil for "pay for performance".   Makes you wonder if he was paid for ineptitude...because his bonus could not be based on performance, could it? http://www.bostonherald.com/business/general/view/20110929recently_fired_hp_c...
