let the ass rapin continue....let's see - we have had the 66% income tax increase, toll increase, taxes on every good and service increase, water bill, parking, and now our pantload politicians have paved the way for an electric rate increase.

why is it our responsibility to pay for their capital improvements? I remember working with a utility client years ago, when a dollar was still worth 50 cents (not like the current 25 cents) and seeing all these people younger than I making way more that I did. I was told that the utility, by law, takes its expenses, marks them up and uses that to calculate the kilowatt cost to consumers...so, the higher the expenses, the better the profit for them. Now, we are supposed to accept that the power outages of this summer will go away if we let them gouge us just a bit more....what an effin joke.
oh..and no action taken on the pension mess...at least they figured out a way to separate the non-pensioneers from more of our money.
Illinois...what a shithole...
was watching Letterman last night. he spent a lot of time ridiculing the Herman Cain ad (although having a guy take a puff of a cigarette is dumb), Rick Perry, and Hillary Clinton...but nary a peep about our colossal failure of a president....hmm...are the influencers at work??? (haven't they been at work since the jug eared failure ran for senate?).
