Where does the time go? and I have nothing to write about time passed.
I am getting ready to travel back to Chicago next week, and then to Canada to fish for a week. It will be good to see my brothers, family, kids and granddaughter and my outdoor buds. then a long drive to Canada. and back to Florida a week later.
No traction in the job search....at this point I question the intelligence of a move back to Illinois and its taxes. But I have friends and family there. so it would be good to be near them once again. The job market in Florida is dismal, so when I get back from Canada I will have to decide if I want to stay and work retail...oh well...there are worse decisions to make.
Canada...my favorite place on this earth. Something about the solitude of the wilderness that I love. A week that changes me. Maybe that is why the 4 of us still regroup every year to do it again. Not because we love each other's company, but we do...but rather that is where we go to find ourselves. Hard to explain, but the fact that we are still at it after 37 years. I remember back to the crazy days of canoeing and backpacking....tough stuff. and the 4 of us rose above it and kept the explorer spirit going.
anyway... Every day is hot and sunny here. My mom is doing well, which is one of the reasons I am here.
May all of you be as free from the bs life throws at you as I am.
There - could I have stated it any clearer?
