Dec 20. Survivor Season Finale

I have watched every season of Survivor the last 17 yrs.  Pity me...or be happy for me, but I will spend the next 3 hrs watching a reality show that has gotten very scripted, edited and fake.  But I'll watch it.  Years ago, I actually sent in an audition tape to try and get on.  But, I don't think I am the type they look for....hot women, nerds, guys with six packs.  I am none of them.  After 4 hrs of not eating, I'd probably volunteer to be voted off.  When we were young and took canoe trips, the hard work paddling and portaging coupled with not eating much would make me lose 15 lbs in a week.  No beer, junk food.  Our fishing trips these days include too much of everything.  and very little physical exertion.  My how things change.  I think the guy below is on a hallmark movie...Romance in the Woods.  That picture is 25 yrs old.  About 40 lbs ago. I'll use that pic on my match.com profile.  Imagine the horror when the real me shows up.

I am watching Survivor until 10.  as luck would have it, Romance at Reindeer Lodge is on at 10.  I refuse to watch that again.

 Christmas Eve Eve.  It's hard to believe 2020 is drawing to a close, although since the lockdown in March, calendar dates have become meaningless.   But, it is Christmas week, and all the regular hosts on the radio and on Fox News are on vacation.  For the working folks, the holidays fall on Thursday and Friday, so that is good for them, assuming they are off.   I got 6 Christmas cards this year, and appreciated them; it's always nice to be thought of.  And of those 6 cards, 4 featured a picture of the family dog.  Being a dog person, I like that.   Looking back, it was 2 yrs ago that I had the radiation procedure for prostate cancer.  Then I went to Florida in January.  Time does fly.  I have been back from Florida for 15 months.  The lockdown has lasted over 9 months...when you look at it, you realize time really is fleeting, so enjoy each day even if you spend it watching bad movies.  speaking of which.....

Another 2 weeks passed and I did not post.  I didn't do much, other than sit at a keyboard sending resumes that will not be read.  I had a few phone interviews, but nothing to be encouraged about. Heading to Chicago Saturday.  Will be nice to see the kids, and my granddaughter.  Play golf with the golf buds.  Catch up with some friends, then head to Canada Friday morning (if 2:30 am qualifies as morning).  Me, Kevin, Fred and Greg have been doing this a long time, and it is a very enjoyable journey, from the drive there, the party the night we we get there, the week of fishing, and the drive home.  Seems like only yesterday we were booking the trip at the All Canada show in January.  That was just a few weeks after I had surgery, and I remember being so fatigued walking around the show.  But that was then.  it's a new day. so - If I don't post before I leave Florida, I will catch up soon.  godspeed.

I wrote the post below yesterday, then put it back in draft status.  A guy at work told me that some notes you need to write, then save for a day before you send.  this was kind of the same thing.  but there is nothing malicious in the post - just an opinion that i need to move on from my current job.  I have nor malice - my job pays the bills and gives me an opportunity to do something I am good at.  but, either it is me, or the job, but the mutual attraction is no longer there.  there are worse things to be opinionated about.  anyway, the post follows: Another few days passed with no post.  the insanity at work continues, and has gone beyond what I can reasonably care about.  companies talk about their busy time, and then expect everyone to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to get through their "busy time" which is code words for the time they make a lot of money, but don't share it.  so, this busy time has led me to acknow...
