Dec 10...post bears game

the Bears won in convincing fashion.  quite a departure from the last 5 weeks.  Had a nice party with a few friends over.  Made brats on the grill, and had not grilled for some time.  have not done a lot of things for some time.

the Bears season has been over for awhile.  and everyone calling for the coach to be fired.  as if that will solve everything.  but it won't - the Bears problems start at the top, and trickle down from there.  How must it be to coach for a living and have the whole town hoping for you to lose your job.  I guess at this point John Fox knows he will be out of a job at the end of the season.  that comes with the job, and since they make about 30x what the rest of us make, no fired coach would apply for a job that we would, if we lost our job.  I have been at companies where some exec was on death watch.  such an energy sucking exercise.

Sunday night....I have had jobs where Sunday night would be ruined by the thought of going to a lousy job on Monday morning.  that is no fun at all.  My current job is not like that, fortunately.  or maybe my current situation outweighs the bad vibe I would get from a bad job.  nah...I know a bad job when I am in one, and this is not a bad job.  now, you may ask....what do all the rotten jobs I have had have in common????   why, I was an employee at each of those rotten organizations....wait, what??  yea...we are all part of the problem.

after my book "Don't Be That Guy" is published, my next work will be "Make Your Own Eden".  and each of us will be inspired to make our workplace a warm, fuzzy, friendly, convivial place of contentment.  yea, that is what we will do. are you with me??

now enjoy what is left of your weekend, and hit the ground running tomorrow.  or, just act like you are busy and don't pick up the phone when it rings.  most of what you put off can be done after the first of the year so there is no need to rush into anything.
