Dec 8..a day off work
I am off work every Friday until the end of the year. And off the week after Christmas. That will be nice. I have had other jobs where the busy season started at Christmas and I didn't get to take off until after tax season.
Too cold outside to do much. Glad we played golf last Saturday - thanks to my golf buds. 50 degrees in December is rare and has to be taken advantage of. Now it's time to take the clubs out of the trunk.
It's my turn to be in the house (we are rotating weeks in and out) but then I will be out for 4 weeks. Hopefully we get things settled soon so I can move on with my life. Living out of a suitcase in your own house sucks. getting bills from an attorney sucks. not seeing my dog since September sucks.
Divorce/breakup...It's a complex equasion - as much love that keeps a couple together results in the same degree of acrimony when a breakup happens. The needle swings so far the other way...you go from feeling secure to feeling agitated and unsettled to the same degree that you felt secure. Like nuclear fission ..when the atom is split, it releases energy disproportionate to the split itself. that is how this feels....such strong emotion. contention...accusations...conjecture....everyone with an opinion. only 2 opinions count, of course. and those opinions differ greatly.
but it is what it is. I am more accepting of the situation than I was initially. I am going to get through the holiday season as best I can, then start the new year with a new outlook. I have never been a big fan of the Christmas season and this year it's a bit worse.
on the bright side.....sent an email to the outfitter we use in canada. a lake we really liked was available for the week we wanted to fish in 2018, and we booked the cabin. so - at the end of July we will be up there fishing. and the time from now til then will go by in a flash...we are at that age, and have to appreciate each day we have on this earth.
I guess I will make a trip to the store. what kind of frozen pizza should I get today?
