up early - now it is 7 am and the sun still hasn't come up.  next week is the time change, so that will make for an earlier sunrise.  sadly, looks like golf season is about over, save for a round or 2. I had a dream last night I got a hole in one.  felt pretty good in the dream, which is the closest I will ever get to a hole in one.

I dvr'd Gold Rush and am watching it as I type this. I guess no matter how bad your job sucks, driving through the jungle in Guyana, or the  Klondike are probably worse.  not that a sucky job is not a sucky job, but puts it all in perspective.  still working my plan on the job front.....funny how as you get old, there are different remedies available to you.  I never would have thought I'd be on that path, but a person has to look out for themselves.  at this point in my career, I have seen numerous times the business model where the efforts of many are channeled for the benefit of a few.  Each time it is harder to accept - to the point where I refuse to accept it.  I know some of the folks that read this blog have been through it with me, so it ain't just me.  some may be too young to have been burnt by a situation like this yet.  and some, hopefully never will.  but if someone says they have never been screwed like this it is likely they are too dumb to have seen the obvious.  most folks in their 50s, or if they are 60 (like KK), they know.  I put pen to paper the other day and estimate that I have been screwed out of a good chunk of money as well as paid health care and pension - and that was when money was worth something.  and it wasn't just me.  hence my low tolerance for getting screwed.....

ok - enough thought of work on a sunday...now for a story......

worked out yesterday, and I always wear my ipod.  I got home, and took the ipod out of my gym bag in order to use it while I worked outside.  It was missing one of the rubber earpieces, and could not find it in the gym bag.  so - I had a replacement...but, my ear hurt.  yes....the rubber earpiece was in my inner ear.  I spent the rest of the day holding my nose and blowing to try and move it back out.  I ended up getting it out about 7 pm.  moral of the story - don't use the small earpieces.
