The granddaughter of the president of SIU was going to be awarded a full ride scholarship to SIU...until the press got hold of the story and she turned it down.  Makes you wonder how much of this illegal behaviour goes one...probably a lot, huh?
I saw a story that Coke is going to raise its prices in July...hmmm...a case of 24 cans that used to be on sale for 4 bucks is now over 6 bucks...and now the cases have 20 cans instead of the 24 cans that a case has had since forever....and now there are 1.25 liter bottles for the same price as the old 2 liter bottles...so, someone has already raised prices and by a lot.  another indicator of the miserable failure of the economic policies of our genius president. 
The Daley story from yesterday's newspaper made not a wimper on the tv news.  The annointed family is free to continue to break laws at their whim and fatten themselves further at the public trough.

And the beat goes on.

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain'...

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers.
