busy weekend.  got a lot of work done outside yesterday.  finally feels like June - hot and humid.
The stories about the dire nature of the economy are more and more common now.  The strategy of printing money and increasing debt has proven to be a failure, and the stories talk about the risk of a double dip recession...sure....like we ever got out of the recession that started in 2007.  History will show this has been, or is, or is going to be a depression.  It's one of those things that have to be written from a different standpoint.  Boehner is meeting with Obama...to golf.  I am sure they will get things figured out just fine.  As I have written before, there is no fixing the problems we have.  Maybe kick them down the road past the next election, but we will never pay off our deficit, nor will the state pay off its pension debt.  so, it will be interesting to see what tactics are used to fool we middle class taxpayers so the fat cats can continue to get richer at our expense.  and they will figure out a way.

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain'...

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers.
