at long last Friday.  more rain - where is it all coming from?

The latest companies to look at moving out of Illinois (the most poorly run state in the country) are the Board of Trade and The Mercantile Exchange.  The corporate tax rate is making all companies look at moving to a more business friendly state.  Plus, the privilege of paying a 10% tax rate to live in a dump like Illinois is a bit much....but who will pay for the $100 billion in pensions owed?  that temporary income tax rate hike to 6%???  sure - it is only temporary until it is hiked to 10%...just watch. 

the US economy continues its march into the crapper.  it is sad to see an incompetent like Obama continue to make empty promises, and to show how truly incapable he is.  Relying on hope is probably not going to get our economy moving in the right direction.

the emporer is wearing no clothes, folks.

on the bright side, game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals is on tonight, and game 6 of the NBA finals might be good on Sunday....I guess that is all we, the masses, have to look forward to.

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain'...

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers.
