Year 2019 is over one third over...wow.  time flies too quickly.

I had dinner on Monday with the friend I had lunch with on Saturday.  Al had to head back to Arlington Heights to his normal life.  His plan is to move to Florida in the next 5 years.  seems like a good idea. 

I still look for jobs in Chicago and in Florida.  I get more phone interviews for Chicago, but then I ask myself if I really want to move back for some job beneath my level...and the answer is no.  so I shall keep looking.  I do have some pretty good daily posts about Warden Consulting...the only consultant you will ever need.  I think I am close on that.  Hold my beer....

beyond that...livin life.  Can't complain, although anyone that reads this blog would not give a care if I did complain.  I get it.

ok...check out my linkedin posts.  my back hurts, and I am convinced it is something bad.  but I read the internet and it said that can be from bad posture.  but I would rather it be cancer.  but my posture is awful.

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. Does anyone miss the obligatory outdoors pic?

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain't goin

Not much left in 2011...and each day we are a bit closer to spring... The toilet that is Illinois will be enacting over 200 new laws at the start of 2012. http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/new-year-comes-with-more-than-200-new-illinois-laws-2012-20111228 In these laws, I cannot find: - a law limiting pension abuse, and illegal enrichment - a law limiting the public's exposure to pension debt - a law prohibiting insider deals from  politicians - a law prohibiting municipalities from selling assets that have been paid for by citizens - a law prohibiting illigal aliens from parasitically consuming resources paid for by legal residents the list could go on forever.  these 200 new laws are largely to keep the middle class in line so the rich can continue to be richer. and if you throw out your compter, prepare to be fined. Illinois - what a shithole.
