Time marches on.  We are deep into fall now, if the temperature is any indicator.  The trees not really changing color as much as the leaves just falling.  the streets are covered.  It happens every year.  From now until Thanksgiving is a pretty nice climate...then 4 months of badness.

I had a medical test today.  I am now 60 yrs old, and certain stats from blood test require more testing, but this one was not fun at all.  A prostate biopsy.  Sounds like a simple thing.  Unless it is your prostate being biopsied....but, if that is the worst thing that befalls me today, I am living a good life.

No Saul on last night...that won't be back until next year.  so, one more show that I won't watch.  I am not a big baseball fan anymore so I couldn't care less for the playoffs.  Maybe I should work on my book.

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain'...

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers.
