Beautiful fall day...but so many leaves now on the ground.  Soon bare trees and the snow will start. I had a thought about the mysterious ways God works...hear me out.... In June, I got word my job would end in August I immediately scheduled knee surgery since my knee was killing me and making it tough to golf I had the pre surgery physical, and it was a go, but was told to see a urologist I had the knee surgery and happily golfed since July, merrily prancing around the course like a fat 59 yr old dude without a care in the world, except where is the beer cart.. I went back to the doctor to get a referral for a neck problem.  She told me to also see a urologist.  as did a very good friend of mine. I went to the urologist for a prostate exam (eek) and blood test I was told to have a prostate biopsy which I did The biopsy showed early signs of cancer which I will have taken care of. if the job didn't end, I would not have had my knee fixed...I would have limped...

I have not posted for a week.  I usually write every third day or so.  I need to stop applying for jobs that don't exist and do something important like write this blog.  I had another 159 page views from the United Arab Emerites today.  Somewhere over there they are building a monument to my geniusness.  there can be no other explanation.  We are having some very nice fall weather, and I need to be outside more than I am.  This time of year will pass quickly and soon the shit will hit.  We probably have one more month of golf.  and....when I had knee surgery in June they found an issue with the blood test which required another blood test which required a biopsy which will now require another procedure.  Moral of the story....don't have knee surgery.  I have never felt better...but a blood test tells me otherwise.  Oh well...one more issue to deal with. I am waiting for the first review of my book manuscript from a per...

Time marches on.  We are deep into fall now, if the temperature is any indicator.  The trees not really changing color as much as the leaves just falling.  the streets are covered.  It happens every year.  From now until Thanksgiving is a pretty nice climate...then 4 months of badness. I had a medical test today.  I am now 60 yrs old, and certain stats from blood test require more testing, but this one was not fun at all.  A prostate biopsy.  Sounds like a simple thing.  Unless it is your prostate being biopsied....but, if that is the worst thing that befalls me today, I am living a good life. No Saul on last night...that won't be back until next year.  so, one more show that I won't watch.  I am not a big baseball fan anymore so I couldn't care less for the playoffs.  Maybe I should work on my book.  at any rate, rock on.

Survivor sucked.  And that is all I have to say about that (Forest Gump) This site counts the number of page and post reads per day.  I usually get 10 or so per day....20 views on a good day when someone at work must be bored beyond silly and reads a bit.  But every month or so I get 120 or so reads from United Arab Emerates on a single day.  All I can figure is they are ready to make me an Emir and bestow untold riches upon me due to my writing skills.  I can think of no other possible reason for this. Beyond that...I didn't work out today.  I had been to the club most days in the last few weeks, and couldn't muster the strength today.  But no excuse tomorrow.  Starting to see some results in the weight loss department.  I tossed on deck chair off the Titanic...many more chairs and tables to go.

As I have written before, I mark time by the end of the seasons of the television shows I watch.  Tonight is the season finale of Better Call Saul.  Hard to believe 10 weeks went by so quickly. And what did we all do in the last 10 weeks?  I think this is week 9 of being off work.  And I have enjoyed that.  I lost 10 lbs.  (many more to go). and I have been playing golf with a friend who is just taking up the game.  It is so cool to see a friend that is finally playing golf, and liking it for what it is....a walk in nice weather, looking at green grass and green trees, and our actions not being dictated by a smart phone or the next email.  There is a lesson for all of us in that. so, what will we do in the next 10 weeks?  Before you know it, I will be writing about the Hallmark Christmas movies.  Can't wait to see what previously hot actresses are in movies where they have lost the Christmas spirit, but somehow regain said spirit b...

another work week almost over...and I have not found work.  oh well...as I have said too many times, I cannot hire myself.  so I will keep at the search, as fruitless and frustrating as it is. but on the bright side, I was off today on a perfect fall weather day.  I played golf with a friend who is taking up the game and we had a gas.  Too bad he will soon find out that golf is like a friend that spits in your drink whenever you are not looking.......not sure how that analogy came into my head, but it seemed appropriate.  I am trying to post on Linkedin a few times a week.  Those posts seem to get read in decent numbers.  maybe I will post the golf analogy there.  only from a business standpoint.  nah...probably not a good idea. and so on to tomorrow...Friday.  maybe the tide will wash in the sail I need to get off this island.

In June I had to get a pre-surgery physical before they would do my knee.  All was well, but they said to go to the urologist due to a prostate concern.  so on Friday I did.  Got the prostate exam (eek) and was told to get a blood test and schedule a biopsy.  which I did.  I was expecting a call on Friday with the blood test results.  No call.  Yesterday I got a call that the TSH (not PSA) test was fine.  I asked if I should cancel the biopsy.  I got a call back that only the TSH (thyroid) test was done.  Despite the fact the urologist ordered the test 10 mins before I had blood drawn.  No one was happy that I should ask when this TSH test was ordered, and if it was ordered in June, why didn't they tell me.   trust no one.  if they could mess this up, imagine how something a bit more complex would cause these dopes to screw up.  Still not happy with this screw up, but waiting for the results of the blood drawn...
