at least I think it's Wednesday....we retired folks don't keep track so well.

I saw my friend who works at the wine store today.   on Monday, we were talking about a situation she was in the middle of, and she teared up in the middle of the store as she described the challenges she had.  and we finished our conversation, all was better.  and today when I stopped for wine (because red wine is good for the heart) she lectured me on enjoying each day of my semi-retirement until I get a job.  and also to be open to meeting someone.  so, the shoe was on the other foot today.  I however, did not break down and cry in the red wine aisle.  People are interesting, I must say.  and yes...she is aware of my best day ever approach.  she just has not embraced the concept.  Now I know how Jim Jones felt.

I have been to the health club the last 3 days, trying to ramp things up a bit.  I get a nod from some of the regulars...probably they think I must be an owner of the club, and not someone who actually uses any of the equipment.  I believe I still have the look of a person who is working out, but would rather not be working out.  maybe next week I will make the transition to workout warrior...one of those people that carry a gallon of water with them as they go from machine to machine.

my son stopped by today and dropped off a pile of mail.  how dare these people continue to send me bills.  I am semi retired. They got along fine without payments til now, so let them wait.  I ain't got that kind of dough.

I did find an illustrator for my book.  I think so anyway.   I put a posting on a freelance site and got a dozen responses from folks who say they can draw.  Now I am waiting for some samples of their design.  I am one step closer to being rich.

and, I didn't know Better Call Saul started Monday night.  I have to wait until the dvr records it Friday so I can see the premier.

and below is my and my little angel
