First things first....I am watching Blake Lively battle the shark at the end of the Shallows (yes...I know I watch the same movies way too many times),  but, I noticed the very brave Blake, who looks lovely in a bikini the whole movie despite obvious injuries inflicted upon her during her battle with a 25 ft great white shark, is really in danger of losing this fight.  The shark is biting the metal bars of the buoy that Blake is on...tearing the metal bars apart quite easily with his 3 inch long teeth and powerful jaws.  But Blake kicks the shark in the face and the shark retreats.  More people who are getting eaten alive by sharks should kick the shark in the face.  it worked for Blake.

now that is out of the way.....

lovely day.  had lunch with a guy from high school..back from 1972.  Went to a birthday party for a friend, then a kentucky derby party at another friends house.  The cool thing was there were 4 dogs at the party doing what dogs do - running around, fighting, coming by to say hello....such great creatures to be around.  I will get one soon.  Dogs I like. people...meh...

anyway, stay tuned for heroic tales of really bad golf.  tee time in 10 hrs. 

and I thought yesterday was the best day of my life...until today.

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain't goin

Not much left in 2011...and each day we are a bit closer to spring... The toilet that is Illinois will be enacting over 200 new laws at the start of 2012. http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/new-year-comes-with-more-than-200-new-illinois-laws-2012-20111228 In these laws, I cannot find: - a law limiting pension abuse, and illegal enrichment - a law limiting the public's exposure to pension debt - a law prohibiting insider deals from  politicians - a law prohibiting municipalities from selling assets that have been paid for by citizens - a law prohibiting illigal aliens from parasitically consuming resources paid for by legal residents the list could go on forever.  these 200 new laws are largely to keep the middle class in line so the rich can continue to be richer. and if you throw out your compter, prepare to be fined. Illinois - what a shithole.
