Playing golf next Saturday in a 2 man scramble.  Weather won't be good, but I am anxious to see if hitting balls 3 times a week since I last played will have improved my game.  Honestly - how could it not?  Unless I have been doing the same things wrong that I have always done wrong....never thought of that.....eek.   But, I am looking for drastic improvement...as I say (far too often, if you ask some who know me) I play way too much to be this bad.  Still, nice to be able to use the golf room in the building I work at.  One of the benefits of having a friend that is in charge of the place.

I read trashy web sites like radaronline....and there is a current beef between Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee...I think they were married at some point.  Anyway, back in the 80s they were the beautiful people...Motley Crue...Baywatch...wow..hotness.  Now look at their pics.  My painstaking research indicates Lee is 55, and Pam Anderson is 50 (probably closer to 60).  and their pics look like people who lived a hard life and it is coming back to haunt them.  When you play drums in a hair band, or take your clothes off for a living, your career is over pretty quick.  Throw in a hagged out Heather Locklear, and we should all feel pretty good about ourselves.  I know I do.

Heather, get some help, honey.  You can no longer get by on your good looks. I bet she has to buy her own drinks now too. Of course, in a parallel universe, Heather is blogging about how fat and bald I have become.

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. Does anyone miss the obligatory outdoors pic?

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain't goin

Not much left in 2011...and each day we are a bit closer to spring... The toilet that is Illinois will be enacting over 200 new laws at the start of 2012. http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/new-year-comes-with-more-than-200-new-illinois-laws-2012-20111228 In these laws, I cannot find: - a law limiting pension abuse, and illegal enrichment - a law limiting the public's exposure to pension debt - a law prohibiting insider deals from  politicians - a law prohibiting municipalities from selling assets that have been paid for by citizens - a law prohibiting illigal aliens from parasitically consuming resources paid for by legal residents the list could go on forever.  these 200 new laws are largely to keep the middle class in line so the rich can continue to be richer. and if you throw out your compter, prepare to be fined. Illinois - what a shithole.
