wow..the year is flying by...oh wait - I used that lame opening a few days ago.

still busy as hell at work.  but, I wouldn't trade now for the time I started this blog and would have done anything to stay busy and get paid.  good to have work.  problems and all. 

speaking of which, talked to my friend today who has a sick relative about my age.  those are real problems.  what most of us deal with on a daily basis is no more than an annoyance.  what folks dealing with serious health issues have is the real shit.  so sad to know a guy I used to work with is suffering with such an insideous disease.  that puts life into perspective.  we are at the stage in life where such things will not be uncommon.  middle age.  so long to the carefree years we once had. 

ok...I shall not wallow in my rut any longer.  i have been kicked in the ass.  no more dwelling on my small issues when others are dealing with life changing events.  while the rest of us try to avoid life changing events.  it is easier just to bitch about having to work hard than to deal with life changing events.

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain'...

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers.
