after a horrible day off, back to work today.  I still feel beat up, but not like when I was spewing...ick...
funny how when you go back to work feeling crappy, the things that frustrate you frustrate you a little more.  the people that annoy you annoy you a little bit more.  or maybe that is just the way it works - familiarity breeds contempt.  the more familiar you are with your job the more it bugs you. Looking at my history, I guess that is true - I tend to move to new companies every few years.  not that it has benefitted me career or money wise.  but anyway, good to have a job to get frustrated with, I guess.  I would prefer any day at work to a day at home sick as a dog.  and I say that after a frustrating morning.  but, what is without frustration?  nothing that pays money. 

ok - back to my fulfilling and very pleasant job.

finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain'...

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. Fudd   Quinn has come up with yet another bit of geniusness....giving a tax break to families with kids.  http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/pat-quinn-taxes-state-illinois-speech-families-20120128 at a time with a bottomless pit of a budget deficit, and handing out tax breaks to every corporation threatening to leave Illinois, we are cutting more taxes to a special group...now, just who do you suppose will be asked to make up the difference?  and, of course, when the TEMPORARY income tax increase expires, what then. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. All who now pay tax hand over 5 percent of their income. The union envisions high-earners paying a lot more.
