the beat goes on.  like walking on a treadmill...we keep doing the same thing, and ending up at the same place.  and I didn't win the powerball drawing.  so, it sucks all around today.  as we charge headlong toward the fiscal cliff, we need to blame the person that was in office the last 4 years for growing the deficit and spending uncontrollably. http://www.politico.com/story/2012/11/84364.html but really, isn't it easier to just blame bush?  at least we know our leader is a grounded everyman. http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/11/29/obama-slated-hawaii-cliff/ we all deserve a 20 day vacation in hawaii, don't we? we brought this upon ourselves.  and we must eat our peas.

November almost over...hey wait, I wrote about that a few dozen times already.  the next bubble...student loans... http://finance.yahoo.com/news/student-loan-debt-rising-often-002318821.html really an ingenious strategy...make college very expensive, force the students to take loans to go to college, then make the student loans the only loan type not cleared in bankruptsy.  the banks get their shit hooks into the youth and have them captive for 20 - 30 years after they earn their degrees in art history...what's that???  I need a masters degree in art history to get a job doing art history things????  why then I will just take out more loans and pay them back when I become an art historian..... what a crock.  and we let it happen.

November is almost over.  To continue to beat the proverbial dead horse, hard to believe how quickly time flies.  too quickly.  the annual fishing trip is now 3 months back....a quarter year.  the sands pass through the hourglass faster all the time.  kind of a shame to waste those precious moments at work when we could be drinking and making merry.......hey...let's all try to use the phrase "making merry" a lot.  what sayeth you?  anyway, after a 5 day weekend, back to work.  like I never left...no one missed me from what I can tell.  of course, I did not miss them either, so we're even.  probably gained 5 lbs over the weekend.  some real uninspired writing today.  why don't we all take off work early and make merry?

Monday, Nov 26

I had the good sense to take today off and ease back into the mess tomorrow.  This reminds me of when I was off 4 years ago.  sitting at the computer, looking out the window watching the high school, then middle school, then elementary school buses come and pick up the kids for school.  Watching the people who have jobs leave for the day.  Nice to know I have a job to go to tomorrow.  always good to be busy.  but for today, I can get a few things accomplished that I could not if I was working.  first stop, health club.  there is never much of a crowd there during work hours...so the steam room will be empty. I noticed that in the last month, the Drudge report has had over a billion and a half views.  I had 1700.  so, his readership is a million times more than mine.  of course, he writes no content and just reposts links, so I have that over him.  have a good monday. I plan on doing just that.

Saturday, Nov 24

dragging my feet on going to the health club.  I need to find a spark.  and turn it into a blaze - I have turned into a real lardass.  but, lifting and only lifting and not doing any cardio has made my guns bigger.  maybe I can overdevelop my chest and arms and then my big gut will not be as obvious.  or, I can eat and drink less and maybe lose my gut...I have to think that one over.  after the holiday binges.  yea...in January I will really do it this time.  no carbs, no beer, just steamed green vegetables...wait, what?  I was just thinking out loud.  I wasn't really planning to do that.  I have earned the right to enjoy the deadly sin of sloth.  my son is doing very well playing basketball.  he didn't play at all the last game and was bummed.  he played most of the game last night and did well - rebounds, steals, good defense.  nice to see him dedicate himself to the sport he likes.  at his age, I had t...

One holiday down, a few more to go in the next 5 weeks.  Thanksgiving was nice, now the cold weather to deal with.  good thing we played golf Sunday because today would not have been too enjoyable to play.  the news last night had the usual coverage of the idiots lined up to shop at midnight. How little must their time we worth to waste it lined up for hours to buy cheap crap from China?  you see fights, stampedes, people showing their worst side.  I just don't get it.  I suppose I never will.  we spend a day giving thanks for what we have, and for families, and then leave right after the meal that took time to prepare and stand in a parking lot.  must be the direction the country is headed.  we are hopelessly lost, I fear.  or is it just me?

Wednesday, Nov 21

Ready to call it a week.   I am bushed.  ready for a few days off.  like the rest of the working stiffs, I suppose.  Short weeks at work just mean you cram more work into less hours.  and it takes its toll.  jjj resigned today...just a few weeks after winning by a large margin.  maybe his constituants wanted a criminal representing them.  I saw a story that any criticism of obama's nominee was racist and sexist....and another story that said the reason the repubs lost is the party is getting older and whiter.  imagine the uproar......nah.   this is a new amerika.  on the fast track to who knows where.  probably not for the better. anyway, I have nothing to say today.  then again, how would a reader know the difference?  and make sure tomorrow you eacho peez.

Monday, Nov 19

I missed posting again yesterday.  too busy golfing and enjoying the nice weather that will be gone too soon. I played golf yesterday for the last time this year.  The reason that I know it was the last round is because I played so dreadfully awful that I have no desire to go through that again.  but on the bright side, I shot under my weight.  now, some golfers may brag about shooting under their age, but shooting under my weight is all the motivation I need...not to lose weight.  I knew I could find a silver lining to that cloud. hey...obama is really concerned about the country heading toward the fiscal cliff...that failure that held office before this election is no doubt to blame.  I did see a democratic politician saying the closure of the twinkee company - Hostess, is romney's fault.  of course it is. the twinkee company is dead, and al queda is alive.  thanks 47%

Saturday, Nov 17

the unions continue to strengthen america.  rather than accept an 8% pay cut, the unions struck Hostess and the company folded, losing 18,000 jobs.  but, those 18000 workers did not have to endure an 8% pay cut.  oh wait, they took a 100% pay cut....nice move. off to the dentist.  and the last round of golf of the season is slated for tomorrow.  thanksgiving is upon us.  then the Christmas season, then 3 months of suck.  oh well.

Thursday, Nov 15

almost missed a second day in a row and not posted.  I am falling down on the job.  the job of writing crap no one cares about.  but me...I like my writing just fine. in my addled brain, my words are the truth...shows you how messed up my thinking is...or not.  I see j jackson jr is not going to resign until his disability payments are settled.  how democratic of him.  takers all.  makers of nothing.  and he was reelected last week.  what a sad state of affairs we have, huh?  as the 2 guys in Funny Games (one of the creepiest movies ever) said: "you brought this upon yourselves".  and we did.  we have no one to blame but us.  not me, of course, but us. so - a pretty lame posting today.  I promise to do better...like obama promised...4 years of failure will stop now. his next success will be his first success. and we all shall eat our peas.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

really chilly this morning...the car covered with snow flurries.  winter is upon us.  Thanksgiving next week, then the dash to Christmas. the petraeus scandal widens...now another 4 star general is ensnared...a guy that sent 20,000 to 30,000 to the woman who received threatening emails from the first slut.  really slimy stuff. http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/scandal-probe-ensnares-commander-of-us-nato-troops-in-afghanistan/2012/11/13/a2a27232-2d7d-11e2-a99d-5c4203af7b7a_story.html the democrats continue to wage their own war on women....and stand at the ready, their penises and cigars drawn for battle.  generals responsible for the security of the world and tens of thousands of soldiers...and nailing every loose woman they can. the world continues to head to its own fiscal cliff.  what an effin joke.

Monday, Nov. 12

after a lousy bears game, the weather turned cold.  quite fitting.  I guess we are in late fall...soon to be winter.  Then the All Canada fishing show in January where we will book the 2013 trip and will have something to look forward to over the long winter.  the story about petraeus gets stranger by the day.  he is no different than any other govt seat warmer.  who is to say he was not compromised in some way...that she was a russian spy. the dems are fighting their own war on women...but they are using their penises as weapons....clinton, maher, morgan freeman, david letterman....foot soldiers, all...ready to draw their penis on a woman at any time.

Friday, Nov 9

what a long, sucky week.  so glad it is Friday.  I am rushing toward my own fiscal cliff.  for the second day in a row, there is a story about obama openly weeping about something http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2230287/President-Obama-breaks-tears-thanking-campaign-staff-day-election.html of course, when Boehner was on 60 minutes, they made an issue about his propensity to cry.  to which letterman cut the crying scenes together for a bit.  I'm sure we can look forward to the same treatment of obama, right?  I noticed that gas had gone up 25 cents here from pre-sandy....but wait, the gas here does not pass through the east coast, does it????  no, but the axiom of "if anyone is getting ass raped, everyone gets ass raped" holds true.  economic reality of the new regime. on a positive note, my son made the varsity bball team.  and since I coached him for 7 years, I am taking credit for him being about 100 times better player th...

Thursday, Nov 8

Somehow election day came and went, and I had no post to commemerate it.  obama was re-elected....more of the same.  you have to wonder what the country will look like 4 years from now.  will we be as polarized as we are now?  will the debt reach 30 trillion?  will obama have the top 2 spots on the list of worst presidents?  as I have written, no one can fix the mess we are in.  had romney won I would be griping about him in short order.  but, I voted, so I can bitch about the guy that won that I didn't vote for. now, jesse jackson being re-elected speaks volumes about how messed up politics is.  a guy that has been under psychiatric care for 6 months and is under indictment...and he wins in a landslide.  no big surprise, I guess.  so - 4 more years started yesterday.  God willing, I will still be writing 4 years from now...

Tuesday, Nov 6

Election day.  I went to vote at 6 am and there were 20 or so voters....the polling place was disorganized and the ballot scanner had issues.  I imagine we'll be reading all kinds of stories about voting fraud, intimidation, lost ballots, etc.  The country has never been more polarized than it is now.  It will be interesting to see how it all ends.  who is the next captain of the titanic.  how many trillions will the next president have to borrow to keep the house of cards from collapsing.  whoever wins will have a mess to clean up...a mess that was decades in the making.  I hope by the time I post tomorrow, we have a winner announced.  I am also hoping for a groundswell of grassroots support for me... I wrote myself in, and if enough voters follow suit, yours truly will be the next states attorney....admit it - we could do worse.

Monday, Nov. 5

One more day until election day.  the rhetoric flying around, allegations of fraud.... one thing to remember in all this is, as I have written many times, there is no one that we can elect that can fix this mess.  the current condition was decades in the making.  the ghost moose has so many parasites on it that plucking time off one by one will likely kill us anyway.  there is no one we can elect that will do anything to improve the lot of the middle class....if we elect obama, the social justice/wealth distribution will continue...but it will be the wealth of the middle class being redistributed.  if we elect romney, the rich will be encourged to get richer...so the middle class can get jobs building yachts, planes and catering rich people parties.  if it sounds like I've given up, it's because I've given up.  but, I will be voting.  I have to keep my streak alive of writing myself in for some meaningless office.  maybe I will be elec...

Remember when America had some class, some dignity, some elegance?  Remember when those speaking on behalf of our leaders were erudite, and well spoken?  check this out: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/lets-win-this-motherfuer-white-house-official-delivers-shock-speech-at-phone-bank-rally/ we have sunk to this level.  let's win this motherfxxxer????  huh?  speaking to his constituancy, I guess.  how about crazy joe: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/biden-theres-never-been-day-last-four-years-ive-been-proud-be-his-vice-president_660130.html and, crazy joe is taking a vacation....hasn't he been on vacation for the last 4 years? http://weeklystandard.com/blogs/joe-biden-readies-vacation_660171.html I wonder if he was laughing about it afterward.... maybe letterman needs a nightly segment about the most recent dumb thing said by biden...no...that might call attention to how bad we've been had... America...can we sink any lower?  webe e...

Friday, Nov 2

finally Friday.  and don't forget to set the clocks back tomorrow night. gas prices set to rise....because inventories went down...sure.  I guess I have worn out this topic and it will never change. election is right around the corner.  looks like a close call at this point.  as I have written many times, it really doesn't matter who wins...we are a spin or 2 from the bottom of the toilet.  can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.  if it's breezy swing easy....oh wait..that does not fit. speaking of which, looks like golf season is over.  we haven't played in over a month..the longest gap since last winter.  no original thoughts this morning.  maybe tomorrow.
