Happy belated bday to my golf buddy (and college room mate - the one to blame for all the trouble we got it and, decades later, for some of my good golf shots) and happy bday to my brother.  one more year....

I was walking the dog on saturday and a guy drove past me with a little kid in the back seat, and it occured to me those days for me are so far in the past....I can pretty much come and go as I please, golf whenever I want....the days of soccer games, baseball games, football games, dance recitals, etc..all in the past.  but, my dog friend will usually hang with me. 

my son was talking about the Tammy Duckworth ad where she accuses her opponent of being anti abortion...even when rape or incest is involved (ick..but that is the sad state of our country) but, the video is cut, and edited badly.  check it out.  but, even tho tammy duckworth has no legs, and is a property tax cheat, we should vote for her, right?

is it me, or is this country far beyond hope?

(author's note - I think espn has something called "what you got"..or some jive crap like that, but will have to write about that sunday.  I can't for the life of me remember that white boy fake street slang crap that makes everything seem cool)

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain't goin

Not much left in 2011...and each day we are a bit closer to spring... The toilet that is Illinois will be enacting over 200 new laws at the start of 2012. http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/new-year-comes-with-more-than-200-new-illinois-laws-2012-20111228 In these laws, I cannot find: - a law limiting pension abuse, and illegal enrichment - a law limiting the public's exposure to pension debt - a law prohibiting insider deals from  politicians - a law prohibiting municipalities from selling assets that have been paid for by citizens - a law prohibiting illigal aliens from parasitically consuming resources paid for by legal residents the list could go on forever.  these 200 new laws are largely to keep the middle class in line so the rich can continue to be richer. and if you throw out your compter, prepare to be fined. Illinois - what a shithole.
