Another chilly morning.  We are paying for the warm weather we had in March, I guess.  18 days over 80 degrees last month, none this month.  Does not make for good golf weather.

in the video clip I posted yesterday, they said "make cheap energy expensive, then make everyone think expensive energy is cheap".  on the news today, they talked about the price of gas going down the last 3 weeks...TO $4.20 PER GALLON.   I guess there was some truth to that video.  at least I thought there was. 

I saw a story yesterday that authorities are on alert for attacks because the one year anniversary of the killing of Bin Laden is approaching.  But wait....I saw a story on Monday that said the war on terror was over....hmm...who to believe.

oh - then there is this report about what we paid for Michelle Obama's trip to spain.  old news, I know.  but infuriating, nonetheless.

and now, finally, some good news....foot long shrimp are invading the gulf waters.

can you imagine how good the shrimp cocktails with these monsters would be???????  put me down for a bucket of them.  extra horse radish, please.

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain't goin

Not much left in 2011...and each day we are a bit closer to spring... The toilet that is Illinois will be enacting over 200 new laws at the start of 2012. http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/new-year-comes-with-more-than-200-new-illinois-laws-2012-20111228 In these laws, I cannot find: - a law limiting pension abuse, and illegal enrichment - a law limiting the public's exposure to pension debt - a law prohibiting insider deals from  politicians - a law prohibiting municipalities from selling assets that have been paid for by citizens - a law prohibiting illigal aliens from parasitically consuming resources paid for by legal residents the list could go on forever.  these 200 new laws are largely to keep the middle class in line so the rich can continue to be richer. and if you throw out your compter, prepare to be fined. Illinois - what a shithole.
