Well, that summer sure flew by, didn't it?  On Friday, I was supposed to go to my sons football game, then work the grill at the varsity game....but at 4:00 they cancelled the sophmore game, but the varsity game was still on.  So, I grilled burgers for a few hours, sweated in the 95 degree heat, and went to my son's rescheduled game on Saturday when it was hotter than it would have been had the game been played on Friday at 5:00 when it was supposed to. 
I played golf this morning at 6:25 - it was about 35 degrees cooler than it was just 2 days earlier.  very pleasant...but, the sun doesn't rise til 6:25 am now...more leaves on the ground these days.   we have a lovely season ahead of us, but then winter.  kind of like if you loved a certain kind of food, but it made you sick every time you ate it.  that is what winter is to fall.  or something like that.
now that the driving season is winding down, gas will certainly go down in price right??? well, that is unless a cow farts in egypt, then we will have a price spike. 

oh yea - Labor Day....I know so many talented folks that are unemployed or underemployed that this holiday is a mockery for those who are seeking jobs.  our failure-in-chief will present his plan on Thursday.  What exactly is he waiting for?  for those out of work, one day is a long period of doing nothing.  but to a community organizer, I guess it is no big deal  November 2012 can't get here soon enough.

back to work tomorrow.  maybe I will have some original thoughts, or something else to bitch about by then.

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain't goin

Not much left in 2011...and each day we are a bit closer to spring... The toilet that is Illinois will be enacting over 200 new laws at the start of 2012. http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/new-year-comes-with-more-than-200-new-illinois-laws-2012-20111228 In these laws, I cannot find: - a law limiting pension abuse, and illegal enrichment - a law limiting the public's exposure to pension debt - a law prohibiting insider deals from  politicians - a law prohibiting municipalities from selling assets that have been paid for by citizens - a law prohibiting illigal aliens from parasitically consuming resources paid for by legal residents the list could go on forever.  these 200 new laws are largely to keep the middle class in line so the rich can continue to be richer. and if you throw out your compter, prepare to be fined. Illinois - what a shithole.
