the rain continues....we drove to the golf course at 5:30 am yesterday, only to decide not to play since the weather looked like the weather that would not be fun to golf in.  so we drove home.  probably a good decision - but I always say that I don't stop fishing or golfing due to weather.  As I get older, I can see the folly in that logic - I have been stuck in some nasty lightening storms on the golf course and out in a boat.  If I want to golf and fish more in the future, I need to respect the weather and take cover when it gets dicey outside. 
we talked about maybe golfing today, but from the looks of things, today is a washout too. 

so, from the insignificance of my personal world to the tragedy in Norway....what unimaginable horror...over 90 innocent people killed by a lunatic.  God Bless those who were affected.  the real pity is that the gunman is still alive.  as long as that turd draws a breath, the world is a worse place. 

and if you had Amy Winehouse in your dead pool, you win.  could Lindsay Lohan be far behind?

Will winter never end?  This weather sucks - can't do anything outside.  and, looking at the pics I post, you know I love to be outside. so, Gov. How ya coming on fixing the pension mess, Einstein??? Gov. Quinn:  please tell us your IQ.  If the question confuses you , please make a confused face and answer with your fingers. finally Friday. due to the overwhelming success of my Ghost Moose story (in my own mind), here is a parable entitled: THE WOLVES In a nice town where wolves were not indigenous, a wolf showed up...then another wolf....then many wolves.  The townspeople asked the government to help them get rid of the wolves...the government said "no - we will set out food for the wolves, and make them places to live".  the townspeople said "but we don't want wolves around here.  they take up space that we townspeople built, and we cannot go there because it is unsafe due to the wolves.  the wolves have gotten into our schools, and our kids cannot learn at the right pace because the teachers are too busy dealing with problems caused by the wolves.  we do not want wolves around, so please stop feeding them and making places for them to live."  The government said no - wolves are ok, and we even want them to vote in your elections.  Get used to the wolves, they ain't goin

Not much left in 2011...and each day we are a bit closer to spring... The toilet that is Illinois will be enacting over 200 new laws at the start of 2012. http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/new-year-comes-with-more-than-200-new-illinois-laws-2012-20111228 In these laws, I cannot find: - a law limiting pension abuse, and illegal enrichment - a law limiting the public's exposure to pension debt - a law prohibiting insider deals from  politicians - a law prohibiting municipalities from selling assets that have been paid for by citizens - a law prohibiting illigal aliens from parasitically consuming resources paid for by legal residents the list could go on forever.  these 200 new laws are largely to keep the middle class in line so the rich can continue to be richer. and if you throw out your compter, prepare to be fined. Illinois - what a shithole.
