DISPATCHES FROM THE GHOST MOOSE

It was a year ago yesterday that I arrived in Florida.  I have been back in Chicago for 4 months.  Time does fly...way too fast.  It was very cold here this weekend...I imagine the temps in Florida would be 70 degrees warmer than here. But in 12 weeks or so it should be much nicer. Saw the movie "1917" yesterday.  It was very good...shot as a continuous scene, and very good film making.  I highly recommend it.  I always like the coming attractions before the movie.  But, they generally show the best parts of the movie in the 3 minute preview, so no wonder the viewer is disappointed when they see the movie. back to work in the morning.  Monday gets here too quickly.

I have not yet posted in the new year.  so, this blog has now had posts in (almost) every year since 2008.  Decades of meaningless drivel....or priceless wisdom.  you make the call. Lovely day yesterday.  We went to the fishing show, as we do every January.  Went to dinner, came back to my place and watched football.  The 4 fishing buds decided that getting together in January, then again in July was a bit silly.  We have been going to dinner monthly since November, and it is something to look forward to.  We've had other guys come out as well and makes for a good time.   When my son was younger, I coached his basketball teams from 2nd grade through 8th grade.  We got the gym for practice one night, and had our games on the weekend.  That weekly schedule always made the winter pass by quickly.  Having some event to look forward to makes the time pass quickly...but at this age, do we really want time to pass quicker than it al...
