I know I have said this, and written of it many, many times, but the kids now have it so much easier than we did.  I had a 69 Cutlass in high school, and my friend Andy and I would take our cars apart on weekends and try to make them faster.  we had no clue what we were doing, but we were always able to put the cars back together, and they ran, sometimes faster than before....but kids now - not so much.  my son came walking out of his room the other day...saying the deodorant stick I bought him did not work.  so, I looked at it...and twisted the button until the gel was pushed out of the top of the stick....maybe he is not mechanically inclined, huh?  (I mean, really) I guess it is a good thing kids are not doing brake jobs or changing points, plugs and condenser.  he is way better than I ever was at basketball - I will give him that.  but figuring out the complex operations of a deodorant stick...I am better than he is at that.

it cooled off - now the weather is perfect.  I was driving to work today and saw two grade school kids running.  just because, it looked like.  remember when we were kids, you would run from somewhere to somewhere.  I used to run.  then a few injuries and a few dozen pounds put an end to that.  but seeing 2 kids on summer break running brought back memories of my own youth...when I would run.  or could run.  how about Anthony Weiner.  how lovely to see his wife stand by him.....a serial cheater, and she is a lawbreaker as well.  doing consulting work while being paid as a govenrment employee.  I hope she catches from him a really bad STD.  what effing scum they both are.  new york deserves that pantload as mayor.

I guess I must be busy - skipping days very often.  must be busy living life instead of writing about living life.  I can be excused - it is so nice to be able to do things outside - water the garden, take the dog for a walk.  and so I shall. I don't understand all the hoopla about the royal son being born.  is that child more special than any other child?  A child born into immense unearned wealth and undeserved priviledge.  a child the british taxpayers will pay a fortune to be sure he stays that wealthy.  he is 3rd in line to the throne....but what exactly does a king do anyway.  nothing....hey - kind of like the president we have.

up early to watch the British Open, that apparently is now called the Open.  maybe calling it the British Open was racist so they changed it.  M. Night Shamilan (sp?) made one good movie, The Sixth Sense, and a bunch of not good, or really bad movies.  in his movie, The Village, William Hurt is the leader of an olden village that is actually existing in the present day.   He congers up stories of a monster in the woods, and dresses up in a hideous costume so the residents of the village are too scared to venture into the woods, and hence, give away the fact that they are living in the present day, not in the frontier days.  well, do you see any parallels here? http://swampland.time.com/2013/07/19/beware-underwear-2-tsa-chief-offers-rare-al-qaeda-bomb-details/?iid=sl-main-lead we need to fear the underwear bomber.  the TSA says so.  now give them more money so they can grope the genitalia of you white people.

summertime, ain't it grand?  nice and hot.  good bike riding weather.  and good weather to sit inside in the a/c.  our messiah has commented on the travon martin verdict, saying it "could have been him" http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/20/us/in-wake-of-zimmerman-verdict-obama-makes-extensive-statement-on-race-in-america.html?_r=0 and remember the first lady saying heydia (the girl that performed at the inauguration and was shot and killed shortly afterward) could have been her. neither the president or the first lady is good at doing their job, but they are good at saying they could be other people. what a devisive president we have.  why just offer an opinion on this case, and on the case where the police acted stupidly?  he should share his wisdom on all crimes, of which Chicago, his hometown, has a lot.

still really hot.  and I love hot weather.  it will be here and gone too soon.  one more week before fishing.  this is the point you cease to care about anything.  close enough you know you will make it.  I only put down my trip deposit a week ago - with the job situation the way it is, you can't commit to anything more than a week away.  that is the way it is now.  our messiah is not working the magic he claimed he would do.  check out his wonderful healthcare plan: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/hhs-admits-you-might-not-be-able-keep-your-doctor-under-obamacare_740093.html wait, what???  we were lied to???  bit what about michelle obama saying the womans tests would be available AT NO EXTRA COST!!!! of course, that only applies to the parasites paying nothing now.  they will still pay nothing for the medical care it requires to breed like mink. but, it is friday.  and I have beer in the fridge.  so al...

still hot...very hot outside.  good thing I was watching the news.  they said due to the heat, limit physical activity and drink plenty of fluids.  I was planning to re-shingle my roof, not drink anything and leave my pets and kids in a closed up car.  see - the liberal media may cover up for unqualified leaders, but they also give you plenty of valuable info.  the violence after the zimmeman verdict continues.  but is barely being reported on.   the actions of the mobs must be excused since said mobs cannot be expected to act as human beings.  the next 500 murders must be excused since Zimmerman was not convicted.  right? what a shithole our society has become.  ick.

July is really flying.  the midpoint of the month.  the Zimmerman verdict was read Saturday - not guilty...and predictably the outcry starts.  there were only 2 people involved in that issue, and one was dead, so that is why the trial was held.  I assume the lawyers on both sides were capable, and the trial was fair.  so why the outcry.  why the threat of riots?  because you don't agree with what the jurors decided after the evidence was presented? remember th OJ verdict?  thousands of people waiting in the streets to see if they were going to riot or not.  then the partying and celebrating when he got off.  but no rioting by the people that wanted him to be guilty. shows you how divided this country is.  our messiah did not do anything to unite the country.  quite the contrary.  what a mess.  and it is getting worse.

a week ago I could barely walk.  not without a bad limp, anyway.  yesterday I played golf relatively pain free.  I guess that is what a flare up of arthritis is.  I always though that arthritis was something that old people complained about when they ran out of other things to complain about.  I guess they were serious.  at any rate - the golf season has been restarted.  watching the news, waiting for the Zimmerman verdict.  there are protestors outside the courthouse demanding a conviction on manslaughter  how about all the American citizens demand a conviction for being here illegally for all the illegals.  the parasites demand things.  and the ghost moose must cave in. cannot make our parasites displeased. I think there is no doubt Zimmerman, the white Hispanic, will be railroaded.  the white black president will demand it so he does not look foolish by opining about the situation he knew nothing about.

Friday, July 12

Finally Friday, and a nice one at that.  made better by the fact that I am playing golf today.  the march to old age continues.  I had a follow up for my knee.  moderate arthritis on one side and significant arthritis on the other.  wtf.  those years of being an avid jogger are coming back to haunt me.  I was able to keep my weight somewhat manageable during my 20s til maybe 35 or so.  now my weight is not manageable because my knee hurts and I can't do something as simple as walk 18 holes.  it is getting so bad that I may consider trying to lose weight to take some of the tonnage off my knees......yes...it is that serious.  as if a bum wheel has to be the impetus to lose weight.  in addition to my advancing age, I am afflicted with delusional thinking. but - if a sore knee is the worst thing I can complain about today, I am living a charmed life. let's see what happens when the Zimmerman verdict comes in, which should be soon...

time is flying by too fast.  I am usually diligent about posting some nonsense almost daily, but have not been too good about that of late.  it must mean I am busy doing something more productive.  I wish I knew what that was. one of the constant themes of this blog that I rant on constantly about is the aging process.  and how I am not aging too well.  I have had a sore knee of late, and had an MRI on monday.  among other things I have arthritis.  the massive weight I am asking my knees to support probably does not help.  but fat = happy.  at least in my world.  you can replace knees, but you can't buy happiness. so there.

well, the 4th sure came and went fast. I was just watching the news about the plane crash in San Francisco.  I heard a number of people interviewed say "we are still trying to determined what happened". in Chicago, there are hundreds of red light cameras, speeding cameras, cameras to document people that don't pay tolls.  how about runway cameras?  while you won't make any money off them, perhaps that would give you footage of a plane crashing so you could determine what happened. of course, that would require a tax increase and a surcharge on each plane ticket to pay for the runway cameras. in addition to the 911 fee, and the baggage fee, and the expensive pop fee, and the food fee.  or, we can just trot out avaition experts to say "we are still trying to determine what happened". then Hillary Clinton can go to the podium with clenched fists and say "what difference does it make - they are dead" or is it just me?

Independence Day.  a day to celebrate our declaration of independence from England.  to escape its tyranny.  the taxation without representation.  and where are we now? we have a president of questionable, unvetted background.  who travels spending our money freely.  whose wife was not proud of her country until it allowed her to travel and spend money freely.  we are taxed oppressively.  we have a health care system that the people already paying for health care did not want, and will now cost those who are already paying, more.  we have the govt spying on those they consider enemies.  we have the IRS intimidating those who they chose to intimidate  we have the METRA board paying its departing leader 700,000 when serving out his contract would cost 200,000.  we have the anointed pension class that are owed hundreds of billions for not working.  we have 15 million illegals that will be made legal - even though most Amer...

2013 is half over.  doesn't seem possible, does it?  half a year in the books.  obama's second term one eighth complete.  campaigning for the next presidential election has almost begun.  I wonder how messed up everything will be by then.  how many more trillions will be added to our debt.  how many illegals will be legalized and what will be the cost.  how much will our property tax go up.  how deep will the pension hole be.  but, a million folks showed up for the gay pride parade, so that is good.  and, my fishing trip is later this month.  so that is good.  and I am on the right side of the dirt...so, again, that is good. no creative spark today.  I will work on that for tomorrow.
